The individuals applying under Super Visa program can visit their children or grandchildren in Canada for up to 5 years at a time. The visa is valid for up to 10 years and allows multiple entries. In order to be eligible for the Super Visa, applicants must meet specific requirements, including the need for health insurance.

The coverage provided by Super Visa Insurance typically includes emergency medical costs in case of an unforeseen injury or illness during the visit to Canada or during a side-trip outside of the individual’s country of origin.

Monthly Payment Plans

Certain insurance providers offer super visa insurance on monthly payment plans where simply pay two months premium & fees, get the policy to apply for Super Visa.

Deductibles

The amount of money you decide to pay for medical expense before your coverage kicks in. The higher deductible you choose the lower premium cost you pay. You can get discount up to 40% using deductibles.

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Coverage

Applicants with certain health issues i.e. high/low blood pressure, heart issues, diabetes, etc. may be eligible to apply for additional coverage for pre-existing medical conditions. With such coverage, if there a medical emergency related to a pre-existing condition that has been stable for a certain period of time (Please refer to policy wordings of the insurance provider), insured person’s treatment will be covered under the policy.

Refund Policy

  • Partial Refunds: In case your parents decide to go back sooner than one year, a prorated refund is available, provided NO CLAIM on the Policy (Certain Insurance providers may charge cancellation fees, please refer to the policy wordings of the insurance providers)
  • Full Refunds: If no Visa Granted for any reason before effective date.

What is the Super visa (for parents and grandparents) Program requirements?

Super Visa is a special visa program offered by the Canadian government that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit and stay in Canada for extended periods. This visa provides multiple entries and allows eligible individuals to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time without the need to renew their status.

To apply for a Super Visa, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including:
  • Host should meet the minimum income requirements and,
  • Can provide a letter of invitation.
  • You will be required to take a medical exam to show you are medically admissible into Canada.
  • You must prove that you have sufficient medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company and your super visa insurance policy must:
    • Be valid for at least one year from the time you arrive in Canada.
    • Provide minimum $100,000 coverage.
    • Cover emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation.
    • Be valid and available for review by an immigration official each time you enter Canada.
